Satay dip

A sensational creamy dip for a nutritious energising snack, perfect with vegetable crudities or crackers. Made with everyday ingredients this is sure to be a big hit with children and adults alike. You use this as a tasty sauce too by adding a little more Rice Dream and toss through noodles or drizzle over steamed vegetables. This dip can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.


1 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove, peeled, crushed
1 shallot, finely chopped
200g/7oz crunchy peanut butter
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp tamari, soy sauce
1/2 tsp hot chilli sauce
2 tbsp xylitol
150ml/5floz Rice Dream Vegetable sticks/crackers to serve


  1. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and shallot for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  2. Add the peanut butter, ketchup, tamari, chilli sauce and xylitol and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes until combined.
  4. Slowly add the Rice Dream and beat until creamy and well mixed.
  5. Pour into a bowl and allow to cool.
  6. Serve with a range of vegetable sticks and crackers.
